If you searched for Victorian Woodworks, you’re in the right place.

Maybe you specified or installed a Victorian Woodworks floor years ago; or saw one in an old magazine; or someone mentioned the name and all its positive associations… What used to be Victorian Woodworks is now better than ever – and integrated into the Ted Todd family as Woodworks by Ted Todd.

Victorian Woodworks was founded in 1988, specialising in crafting ‘beautifully imperfect’ antique woods into stunning wood floors.  As a result, Victorian Woodworks soon became the UK’s largest stockholder of reclaimed timber for flooring.

As well as flooring for historic properties and prestigious new residential projects, Victorian Woodworks made bespoke flooring for the UK’s leading retail, restaurant and leisure facilities. Highlights included teak flooring at the Royal Festival Hall, the floor of the Apple Store in London’s Oxford Street, and the floor of a little place called the British Museum…

In 2011, Ted Todd’s parent company (Edwards Cheshire) acquired Victorian Woodworks to create the world’s leading antique and reclaimed floor company. The fit was perfect, but we saw more potential. So we invested heavily in the new workshops and finishing facilities needed to ensure continued success.

The Victorian Woodworks name remained for several years. We made the move from Buckingham Palace Road to a new Mayfair showroom where specifiers and customers from around the world celebrated the rich heritage of Victorian Woodworks floors.

In 2016, we completed integration of the company into the Ted Todd family when we changed the name to Woodworks by Ted Todd. At the same time, we added Ted Todd’s handmade floors to the established antique and reclaimed floor collections.

In 2017, we moved the Woodworks by Ted Todd Design Centre to Margaret Street, close to world-famous Oxford Street and London’s prestigious West End. The new premises are more spacious and conveniently located than ever. This means it’s even easier for you to experience these exceptional floors across a wide area. Then there are the extra-large display panels to fully show-off the floors’ character, heritage and sheer quality.

So the Victorian Woodworks name is gone, but Woodworks by Ted Todd continues a decades-long tradition. As we continue to make exceptional flooring for clients, Woodworks by Ted Todd keeps building on our unique approach to wood – and inspiring customers like you through iconic, elegant floors and exceptional support.
